It's been a while!
Wow, it has been a while since I wrote a blog. It's been a year! Now that December is breathing down our necks, I figured it's time to write a quick blog on what Jamie Poole Books has been up to...and if you've been following the pictures on social media, I don't think I really left any of you in the dark.
But welcome aboard. I met a lot of new fans at Hal-Con this year. If you haven't subscribed to this blog, I'd encourage you to do so. We'll email the blog right to your email--something Canada Post can't do at the moment. And you'll have it immediately instead of waiting a bit for me to post it.
2024 was a big year for so many reasons. We released 2 new stories: Time by Einstein and The Wild Hunt. I also prepared 2025's book, which led to more time in front of the computer. I ended up with a bad case of Tennis Elbow. Anyone who knows me knows I don't play tennis. I just spent too much time looking at words and making sure everything was perfect.
I had to recover quick as I could, because I had to go Walkabout. I had the privilege of going to Australia, where 2025's book is partly placed. This will be a unique book in the Jamie Poole Books series, but I'm not quite ready to tell you why. I dropped a lot of hints and clues at Hal-Con, so it's not entirely a secret. This, alone, might be a good reason to subscribe to our blogs. I'll break it down here first.
So, yeah, I went to Australia for some of the summer. Among other things, we did a photoshoot for 2025's book. And why not, eh? I did more, but I'm saving that for another blog.
Last week was Hal-Con where we met so many folks. It was fantastic! The premise behind the books was well received, and I'm thrilled to have had all the conversations with all of you. I'm looking forward to more!
Meanwhile, the days are getting shorter, and the time in front of the computer dusting off that book will increase. Time to watch that tennis elbow!
