Tristan's Blood!

"Tristan's blood!"

Brett's pet curse. A phrase Julia hears then flinches. The name Jamie gives to the Monster of Time. But what is in a name? Oh, we could quote Shakespeare here:

’Tis but thy name that is my enemy;

Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.

What’s Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot,

Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part

Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!

What’s in a name? That which we call a rose

By any other name would smell as sweet;

But why bother? Tristan has a fancy for quoting the Bard as you shall quickly discover. So just ignore that bit, if you wish.

To date, Jamie's diaries have hinted at a shadowy figure named Tristan. It is unknown what this individual looks like. Is he young or old? Blue eyes or brown? Is he dead or alive? Is he from this plane of existence or did he cross from the Otherworld? Is there a shred of him that is human?

Nothing is known!

He's a psychopath if he can skip over the fabric of Time dangling scissors as if without a care.

He has an unnatural obsession with Jamie and her family, but as to the reason, Jamie has no idea and no one who might have met him can shed any detail on him.

Who has met him? Jamie suspects her dad has. Her mom flinches as if the idea of him conjures fear, but that isn't proof of a meeting. Granny D has met him, but on this she has no details. Even Granny D cannot say who she met. It was in a trance where he forced his way in and kidnapped someone important to her. Tristan terrified her that day.

But who is Tristan?

To repeat, nothing is known, but Sisterhood of the Sword is going to be available soon. And front and center will be...you got it! Tristan! Will he be worthy of a curse? Will he evoke fear? Will he amuse with his penchant for quoting Shakespeare at the worst possible moments? (Why the hell does he even do that? That's the topic of an upcoming blog.)

And what does he want of Jamie or her dad? Is anyone safe? To quote Tristan: “Get your Wellies ready! There’s a storm on the horizon. Tomorrow’s gonna be a gas!”

Whatever you might think is Tristan, I assure you you're wrong. Get Sisterhood of the Sword and see if you can guess his identity.
